Brittany K. Ussery - Associate - Attorney for Employees

Brittany K. Ussery grew up in a working-class community in Southeast Missouri. With a deep understanding of the challenges that working people face, Brittany was naturally drawn to advocating for employees.  

Brittany attended law school at the University of Kansas School of Law. While in law school, Brittany was a Student Bar Association class representative, then later elected as the president of her class for the Student Bar Association. Brittany joined Doyle & Bruce as a Summer Associate after her first year of law school and returned to work part-time as a Law Clerk at the firm during her final year of law school. Brittany also worked as a Research Assistant to Professor Stephen Ware at KU Law, researching issues on arbitration law and judicial selection, and as a Reference Assistant at the Wheat Law Library. Upon graduating in May of 2023, Brittany was the first recipient of the Raymond Goetz Labor and Employment Award for academic achievement in the area of labor and employment law. 

Brittany practices in the areas of employment law and workers’ compensation. Brittany considers it a privilege to represent plaintiffs in employment disputes and she is passionate about workers’ rights in and outside of the office. 

 Brittany is licensed to practice in both Missouri and Kansas state courts and admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Kansas, the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
