John joined Doyle & Bruce in May 2025, continuing his career-long commitment to high-stakes employment litigation and client advocacy. He began his legal career at a plaintiff’s firm in Kansas City, where he spent five years representing employees in complex civil litigation and gaining valuable courtroom experience. Driven to broaden his perspective, John transitioned to the defense side, where he represented Fortune 500 companies across the country in employment and commercial disputes as a partner at a 200+ attorney firm. 

 Joining Doyle & Bruce allows John to return to his roots and original passion of helping employees who have been mistreated in the workplace. His rare combination of plaintiff- and defense-side experience allows John to offer clients a strategic and well-rounded approach to litigation. He understands how both sides think, what motivates settlement, and how to position a case for success — whether in the courtroom or at the negotiation table. 

John is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Western District of Missouri, Eastern District of Missouri, and District of Kansas.
